Pick Up a Good Book!

I am not in control of my muse. My muse does all the work. - Ray BradburyOctober is National Book Month. It seems fitting that it should occur in a time of year that is rife with imagination. Right around now is when I like to pick up authors like Stephen King, Clive Barker, Anne Rice and Ray Bradbury.

One of my favorite stories is The Halloween Tree by Ray Bradbury. It follows a group of boys who on Halloween, are whisked away on a journey through time and space to discover the true meaning of Halloween and save one of their friends in the process. From his first work, published in 1944 to his last, published in 2007, Bradbury has had each of his readers captured in the pages of his books. What a muse he must’ve had.
